AevLord: The nomad’s path
22/11/12 || jaimeviejo
This French Symphonic Black-Metal project started by a fine gentleman called Julien, has walked a long way since the release of “Welcome to my Kingdom” (2004) and “History of a New Mankind” (2007). The production has improved a lot, and now they don’t sound that much as if they were playing blast beats on top of a NES video game soundtrack, but they still do. Their music is not groundbreaking but is good enough to keep you entertained for a while. The arrangements are well made but the cheesy keyboard sounds ruined some parts for me. The drum sound while mechanical is tolerable. Changing their logo was a good idea too.
It is an acceptable band that needs better production and some distinctive elements to make them stand out from the masses.
6/10: One more point for releasing the album on Halloween 2012.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
